It seems these trees, chilled to the bone,
Leave us to fare winter alone
But deep within, where work is done,
Each branch is vital as the sun

Remembrance Day
The loneliness of winter
That lingered through the spring
The delirious delight
That summertime will bring
The amenity of autumn
The harmonious quartet
Of rain and wind and you and I
The evening that we met

And my, won’t you think it a sight?
‘Tween bars of gold, each note will glow,
Waving towards the ground below

They say the best way out is through
And so I’ll take this dance with you

One step forward, one step back
I’ll learn to balance where there’s slack
